CRITICAL NOTES

Until a few years ago there was some mistrust towards young artists, for their "new ideas" to change and upset our traditional view of art. On the contrary, to fully admire the artistic value of the young Vincenzo Aprile, it is necessary to put aside these suspicions seeing his command in craftmanship and sense of pictorial values.Vincenzo Aprile was born in Naples in 1952, but now lives and paints in Pescara. He unites a technical knowledge with a game of lights, delicate passage between dark and light plus chromatic tones which is both alive and vibrant. His art then assumes a sentimental languor in representing landscape immersed in a tranquil and luminous serenity and vast blue skies.
